Information We Don't Collect
Franciscan Pilgrimage does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to If Then Dev servers. We do not track your usage, build profiles, or share data with advertisers. There are no analytics SDKs, no third-party tracking frameworks, and no advertising networks in this app.
Location Data
Franciscan Pilgrimage may request access to your device's location to help you find nearby Franciscan churches. Location access is requested only when you use the church finder feature and requires your explicit permission. Your location data is used solely on your device to calculate distances and is never transmitted to If Then Dev or any third party.
Local Data Storage
Your pilgrimage progress and preferences are stored locally on your device. This includes:
- Sites you have visited or bookmarked
- Your journey progress through guided chapters
- Indulgence step completions
This data remains on your device and under your control.
iCloud Sync
If you have iCloud enabled, your pilgrimage progress (visited sites, bookmarks, and journey progress) may sync across your Apple devices using your personal iCloud account. This sync uses Apple's CloudKit private database and is governed by Apple's privacy policy. Your data is stored in your private iCloud container and is not accessible to If Then Dev.
Content Delivery
Franciscan Pilgrimage retrieves pilgrimage content (site descriptions, prayers, church directories, and news) from Apple's CloudKit public database. These requests do not include any personal information, device identifiers, or user data. The app also references media hosted on archive.org, a public digital library. No personal data is sent with these requests.
Donations
Franciscan Pilgrimage offers optional in-app donations (tip jar) managed entirely through the App Store using Apple's StoreKit. Your payment information is handled by Apple and is never shared with or accessible to If Then Dev. We do not use any third-party payment processors or subscription management services. No purchase history is transmitted to our servers.
Children's Privacy
Franciscan Pilgrimage does not collect any personal information from users of any age. The app contains religious and educational content about St. Francis of Assisi and Franciscan history. Children should use the app under adult supervision.
Data Deletion
Since all user data is stored locally on your device and in your private iCloud account, you can delete your data at any time by deleting the app. Downloaded media files, bookmarks, and progress data will be removed from your device. iCloud data can be managed through your device's iCloud storage settings.

Religious Content
Franciscan Pilgrimage contains Catholic religious content, including prayers, scripture references, and spiritual reflections. This content is presented in accordance with the teachings of the Catholic Church. The indulgence guide is provided for informational purposes; the granting of indulgences is subject to the authority of the Catholic Church.
Donations
Franciscan Pilgrimage is free to use. All content is available without payment. Optional donations support the continued development and maintenance of the app. Donations are consumable in-app purchases processed through the App Store.
